Oktoberfest is a Hays tradition that draws in locals and visitors from near and far. It’s a time to showcase the best from our community and meet new people. Use this opportunity to show your support for our community and your pride in local businesses and products.

Oktoberfest is held in conjunction with FHSU Homecoming.

Oktoberfest is a free event to the public and has around

17,000 people in attendance over the two days.

The two day celebration brings in over $600,000 to the local economy with many visitors from 50 miles away or greater during the festival weekend. Attendees come from Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, etc.
